Great meal and excellent service. I had the chicken piccata and the sauce was delicious and the chicken was fabulous. The Prosecco was great as well. The ambiance was good, we sat nestled in a corner surrounded by windows and were able to watch the passersby but it also felt very intimate away front the hustle and bustle of the main dining room, perfect for catching up over dinner. Juan was an amazing server, supported by an attentive team. They were always there when we needed something but also unobtrusive. Highly recommend!

Incredible food. I am Italian. I grew up near Federal Hill in Providence, and later moved near the North End of Boston - I've tried a lot of Italian food. And this Italian food is the best I have ever had. Delicious! On top of that, it's served in a restaurant that somehow manages to be both cozy and fancy. I found this place by accident one night when I bringing family to Serendipity for dessert, but wanted some real food beforehand (it's just a block away). They were so welcoming - even though they were nearly full, they treated us like we'd had reservations (we didn't), and found a quiet table for us. Even the wait staff was so good - our server, Juan, brought us delicious complementary bruschetta, hot out of the oven bread, and dessert biscotti - and was pleasant and there when we wanted him but not when we didn't. The portions were generous and the prices are so reasonable - how is this place in NYC? We're going to make it a monthly spot!

I'm gona do what I would never do. Bump the score up because of the service. These are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. From the hostess to the waiter. Andres would talk to us like we're friends. Felt so welcomed. And the place, wow, looks like a place you would see in a mafia movie. So amazing. And they give you window seats that make it so intimate. The food was good too. My fave was what my bro got, spaghetti bolognese. Meatballs were good. And chicken Parmesan was good but I didn't like the cheese as much, not much flavor. Chicken itself was good.

Isle of Capri is a fantastic Italian restaurant in the UES serving some of the most fresh and authentic Italian cuisine I have ever had. The restaurant gives off an intimate vibe with old-style decor and comfortable seating. It felt like a restaurant out of an old movie scene. The staff is very attentive and friendly. They were able to give us good suggestions off the menu and served us with a smile. They started us off with some warm bread and butter but we didn't even eat that much since our order came out so quick. My party ordered the eggplant and chicken parm, and let me tell you that eggplant parm was out of this world. The thin and crispy eggplant layered with cheese and sauce just melted in my mouth. I would go back just to order more of that. Since I am vegetarian, I didn't get to try the chicken parm but my friend devoured the entire dish, so I'm assuming it was very good. The restaurant is very clean and spacious. They have private seating as well as main floor seating. Parking is difficult to find near the restaurant so try to walk or come by subway. 5 stars!

Isle of Capri is such a lovely little family owned restaurant. Everyone was wonderful to us and dinner was fabulous. The servers were attentive and always made sure we had everything we needed. They offered us complimentary bonuses throughout the meal, including bruschetta, olives, cheese, and a strawberry cordial, which was sweet and tasty. I had the chicken parmesan, which was perfectly cooked and the marinara was flavorful and savory. The side of spaghetti was al dente and tasted fresh. I would definitely visit this establishment again!

Absolutely amazing !!! We made a reservation for a table of 8 and we arrived right on time. However we were not able to seated as the table was still occupied by another party. The host (who we later learned is the grand daughter of the original owners who opened the restaurant in 1955!) she was so apologetic as we were the entire party and waiting at the front door, it was definitely cramped! I saw how busy the restaurant was and we are an easy going group so I assured her it was fine. We ended up waiting about 10 mins. But the wait was so worth it. We had a private room in the back of the restaurant! It was perfect. The service was amazing Armando, who took very good care of us, by letting us know the famous dishes (such as the meatballs, chicken parm, or anything parm and a few of the homemade pasta dishes), we also got complimentary olives and cheese, and to top off, he refilled all of our glasses with housemade grappas and a plate of cookies. I made a comment that I loved the sauce as I was bringing part of my eggplant parm back, Armando gave me an extra bowl of sauce on the side! How thoughtful! He was also joking around with us the entire night and made us all feel so welcomed. Now the food, loved the apps (fried zucchini and calamari, both served with this thick marinara sauce that I loved) and I got the eggplant parm. I loved my eggplant parm, with a layer of cheese and thick sauce. It hit the spot. I am so bummed they were out of their meatballs, this is a reason to return! We ended up closing the restaurant, and we had no idea as they were not even pushing us out! When a restaurant has top-notch food and can deliver with over the top service, that is a rare gem. We loved every second of this cozy ues gem and cannot wait to return!

I feel like this place is one of those best kept secrets in Midtown East. It's funny how I've walked by this place so many times but never seemed to really LOOK at it- inside, you'll find warm service, interesting decor, and really delicious pasta. I went with a group of 6 at lunch- probably because it was the holiday week where no one is around, we were seated immediately. I need to go back and try walking in to get a table during a normal week... Anyway, service was prompt and friendly- we put in our orders and received the breadbasket which came with olives and parmesan cheese. Fantastic start to our meal, as the bread was fresh (and there was a variety of breads as well.) Most of our group ordered pasta dishes- everything was fresh, delicious and perfectly seasoned with generous portions. I got this tortellini with pink sauce, and it was SO GOOD- the flavor was so rich but I didn't get tired of it and just gobbled it all up. The staff really took care of us and served us complimentary desserts and shots of liqueur. Nice for a long lunch! Enjoy
